We had the opportunity to film an episode of Groundbreakers in 2008. The Atlanta outdoor water ban was in force, the economic collapse looming, and large outdoor building projects were postponed. Therefore, it was appropriate and fun for us to create an eco-friendly, intimate sized intown project for the show. We installed rainbarrels, a rain garden, recycled paving, bamboo structures harvested from the neighbor's yards, and a river rock drainage system.

Epilogue: We had a fine party in the garden after the filming, and the homeowner hosted a wedding party the following spring in the garden for her daughter. We have had no more television show offers.
